Possum Trott Candles is now enjoying its 6th year in the candle industry. Our story is simple, we began our endeavor to make and sell Votive candles in local Arts & Craft shows. Our first year was a welcome start which flowed into our 2nd season which was better than the first. We have continued to build a loyal customer base year after year which has now carried us to our 6th season. We have enjoyed great success with our customer base and have increased our product line from our initial offering of Votive candles to our current offerings of Container, Pillar and Votive candles to meet the demands of our loyal customers.

Our goal is likewise very simple, that is to provide a quality, long burning scented candle for your personal enjoyment. We have tested many materials during this short period and have now selected just a few suppliers that consistently provide very high quality products that we use in hand crafting our candle line. We have become members of the International Guild of Candle Artisans which has provided continuing education in the art of crafting candles. We also attend other seminars during the course of the year so as to expand our skills in delivering a great candle to our customers.

We originally began production using Paraffin Candle Wax, which is a petroleum product that has been used for well over a hundred years in the candle industry. Paraffin Wax is a safe clean wax for candle burning and has served us and our customers very well. We have tested an environmentally safe alternative to Paraffin, and introduced Palm Wax products late last year. This is a much harder wax than Paraffin, it is slower burning, has a very distinctive appearance ranging from a crystal like appearance to a feathery, marble like appearance, no other candle will match its appearance and performance. Palm Candles are definitely a 'green' eco friendly candle with the wax being made from the Palm Plant which is a totally renewable resource.

Our start up operation was limited to very cramped quarters in Kansas City, MO, and with our growth and success, we have now moved into larger space located in the Missouri Ozarks, in a small friendly town called Climax Springs. From our shop we overlook the Lake of the Ozarks which is the largest man made lake in America. This setting is similar to a well made candle, serene, calming and relaxing.
